Winning with Medicaid
Sedation Solutions
In Southeast Missouri, Dr. Chloe Stuck, DDS, and her colleagues at Four Rivers Community Health Center are expanding access to oral health care through Medicaid participation. The Medicaid reimbursement rate increase has helped them cover the expense of oral surgery and sedation.
Ready to Compare?
See which sedation codes apply for your patients. Visit the Dental Medicaid Provider Manual to find the procedure codes, then check the Fee Schedule for reimbursements under Dental Services.
Getting paid
Retroactive Reimbursements
You can still get paid for work that you’ve already done. Providers can submit claims for reimbursement up to 12 months beyond the date of service for MO HealthNet patients. And if past claims get denied for error, providers have up to 24 months from the date of service to correct and re-file with MO HealthNet.

Dr. Lisa M. Bosch, DDS
Knox County Dental
“I would say the number one benefit is my chair is always full. There’s no empty chair time. And the second thing would be that I get paid right away... When there’s been a rate increase, I have been back dated to when that increase took effect and gotten big checks.”
