This is an optional event.

Interested in attending the Oral Health Legislative Awareness Event but not attending the conference? You can! Please send an email to us at info@oralhealthmissouri.org, with a note saying you will attend. Include your name and email address.

If you are attending the conference, just check the box on the online registration form.

In an effort to increase education and awareness for this important advocacy event, the Coalition hosted a webinar on Friday, February 14, entitled "Working with Legislators - Advancing Oral Health Policy." If you plan to attend the Legislative Awareness Event, but were unable to attend the webinar, you are highly encouraged to watch the webinar recording before March 6. The webinar provides important advocacy information and will prepare you for speaking with legislators about the Coalition's legislative priorities. The webinar recording can be found here.

Legislative visits are a great way to show our legislators that oral health matters to Missourians! Missouri legislators want to hear from you. If you have not made legislative visits before, no worries. We will be there to answer questions and offer guidance. The pre-conference webinar will also be a great introduction.

On Thursday morning (March 6), Gary Harbison, Executive Director, will be in the Capitol at the 3rd floor Rotunda alcove (HOUSE side) before 8 AM.

Feel free to schedule appointments with legislators at the Capitol for March 6. The Coalition will not be scheduling appointments on your behalf. To find out who your legislators are, please visit this website: https://www.senate.mo.gov/LegisLookup/ZipLookup.aspx

You will be asked to enter your 9-digit zip code. You can find your 9-digit zip code by going to this site: https://tools.usps.com/go/ZipLookupAction_input

Prior to making contact with legislators, we encourage you to look up information regarding the legislators you will be meeting with.
