Overview: A day in the life of a correctional dentist

Audience will gain knowledge about the scope and role of a correctional facility dental provider
Dr. Lisa Bosch, DMD, MPH
Dentist, Knox County Dental
After practicing dental hygiene for over ten years, Dr. Lisa pursued dental school and graduated from the Missouri School of Dentistry and Oral Health in 2019. Dr. Lisa purchased Knox County Dental from Kirksville Dental Group in August 2020. She is from Quincy, IL, where she met her high school sweetheart and now husband, Ryan. They have two beautiful girls, Elliot and Dakota. In her free time, she loves spending time with her friends and family and being active in her community, serving on the MU Extension Council board, Knox County Chamber of Commerce, and Rotary. She is also very active with Missouri Dental Association, promoting the advancement of the dental profession and patient care.
Judge Tom Redington
Judge, 2nd Judicial Circuit Treatment Court
Judge Tom Redington has been the Associate Judge for Knox County, Missouri, in the Missouri’s 2nd Judicial Circuit since 2014. He handles a general trial docket including criminal cases and five different Treatment Court dockets for the 2nd Circuit. Judge Redington has over 30 years experience as an attorney in Northeast Missouri and was the Marion County Prosecuting Attorney from 1996 until 2014. While a Prosecutor he also helped train new Prosecuting Attorneys, as a member of the Adjunct Faculty of the National College of District Attorneys (NDAA). He served as a member of the Board of Governors, Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys from 1984 to 1999. Judge Redington was also a member of the Board of Directors of the Missouri Association of Treatment Court Professionals.
Dr. Mahdokht Farahani, DDS
Statewide Dental Director of Missouri, Centurion Health
Dr. Mahdokht Farahani, DDS, has over ten years of experience as a clinician and co-owner in private dental practice, in addition to serving as a clinical dentist in a public health setting. She currently serves as the Missouri Statewide Dental Director at Centurion Health. During her career, Dr. Farahani has developed guidelines for patient care, optimized scheduling procedures, and provided leadership and direction to both clinical and non-clinical staff. Beyond her dental education, she also holds a Master of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering and a Master of Business Administration.
