COVID-19 Vaccines: The Only Way Out?

- Review disease manifestations, with a focus on oral health
- Review current COVID-19 vaccines and vaccine technology
Dr. Steve Scholand is a specialist in Infectious Diseases and Internal Medicine, with a passion for fighting disease. He graduated from the George Washington School of Medicine in Washington DC in the late 90’s and subsequently attended Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia for his internship, residency and fellowship in Infectious Diseases. He has over 20 years of clinical experience, including work overseas in medically underserved areas including the Philippines and Thailand. He is well published in a number of journals and he enjoys teaching medical students, residents and fellows. Dr. Scholand also has a passion for taking care of patients at the bedside. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he has worked as a front-line physician, caring for hundreds of the afflicted. He continues to serve as a faculty member in regional and national webinars on COVID-19 through the Weitzman Institute. Steve is the son of the late Dr. Joseph F. Scholand, who practiced Internal Medicine in New Britain, Connecticut for over 30 years.
